8 Oct 2009 9pm ....
It is heartbreaking to see the tiny little blistered & scalded palm. Both Daddy & Mummy are very sad and self-blaming that we are not able to do anything much to reduce the pains Hebe is suffering ....
She screamed, cried, tears running down her face like waterfall ....
It should not have happened if ....
- The Hot Iron is not left unattended in the first place
- Daddy follow & watch the mischievous, playful girl closely.
- Daddy was not lazying around on comfy sofa, while this little girl running around as usual
- Mummy didn't ask the domestic helper to get a bowl of cereal for Hebe
- The domestic helper be more attentive and not slow in response & react (like her usual self)
- Daddy & Mummy educate Hebe more on the Danger Hot Iron
We remembered Dr. Simon Ng (Hebe's pede) did hand us a note to warn us on all the danger items at home, and we know that Hot Iron is one of the very common items, yet we did not do much to prevent this from happening....
This incident really give us a wake up call and we should not take things lightly.
After the incident, we went immediately to KK hospital, and by 11:30pm we are back home and Hebe's pain has subsided after taking "pain killer" and whole left hand wrapped with plaster (shrink-wrapped).
While Hebe was lying on Bed at home, she keeps looking at the fully wrapped hand with amazement, and asking us to "buka" - open it. And for some moments, she turn around and say "daddy ..... mummy ...." and touch our faces, I guess she really knows that we really worried for her and as we felt helpless and blaming ourselves for not taking good care of her ...
There are simply too many events happening this month, Mummy's eyes inflamation etc.
We Loves you Hebe
